about jeanne ripley

Jeanne Ripley was raised in Collingwood and currently lives in Dartmouth, NS. She has always loved language and began writing poems and essays at the age of fifteen. Her work has appeared in several publications and poetry readings. Twenty pieces from Wings to Fly were read and exhibited at Anderson Gallery in Lunenburg, NS, in 2006. Several poems from the manuscript were published on-line with Northwind Press and in The Nashwaak Review in 2007. Wings to Fly is her first book. Four poems were published in All Rights Reserved, literary journal, in 2008.

Jeanne seeks the essence of a meaningful life through meditation, membership with the Institute of Noetics Sciences, creative exploration and the integration of heart and mind. Her inspired writing is an expression of this search.

Jeanne was a nursing manager (at various levels) for approximately 30 years. Her nursing experience involves working closely with seniors. She combines her presentation skills from her former work, her experience with Toastmaster’s and poetry readings with her desire to share her current passion of self-awareness and life experience.

Jeanne was interviewed for Take Five on the ATV, Live at Five show in the spring of 2008 and interviewed by Mark David Gerson for BlogTalkRadio, Red River Writers on Sept.17,2009.
